My work:

I work across multiple dance disciplines from hip hop, and UK Jazzdance to ballet and contemporary dance, creative movement and abstract dance in theatre, alongside commercial choreography for big brands... as well as being a published writer I am currently studying for a PhD. As a first-generation and pioneering UK hip hop theatre practitioner with an afro futurist mindset, I have toured, nationally and internationally with performance, education and film work. I also make music under the name R BEATS. My approach to choreography is through a continually evolving creative process that develops thought provoking and intelligent audience experience. By exploring politically and socially engaged dance and music through abstract, real or other… narratives and musical expression for film, theatre and television.
